Henry and Anna Schmalenberg are brother and sister.

Emilie(Minnie), Julia, Mathilde, Rudolph and Jacob Gauer are all children of Elizabeth Gauer and her husband Franz.

Franz GAUER (b.1832), Elizabeth's husband who died in 1882 in Sophiental,Russia
Franz GAUER (b.1876), Rudolph's brother who died in 1882 in Russia
Also missing are the various children alive at this time: Jacob, Henry, Rudolph Jr. & possibly Leo GAUER (Rudolph and Anna's children), Charlie NEILSON (Tom and Julia's child) and Matilda BUSCHAU (August and Mathilde's child)

Matilda vs Mathilde?: my Family members recall Mathilde only as "Mildred" and the english of Mathilde is Matilda, however, I am confident Mildred and Mathilde are the same person. In the same way Emilie Gauer was called "Minnie" almost everywhere in family records.
